Flying

Know how your flight will go before you board. Flying forecasts turbulence along your route, shows your seat on the cabin map, and tells you how long the security line is. Plus fast delay and gate alerts, Live Updates, and a logbook of every flight you take.

Simple when everything is on time. Helpful when it isn't.

TURBULENCE FORECASTS
• See where the ride might get bumpy, how strong it should be, when it starts, and how long it lasts.
• Compare the altitudes above and below your cruising level. Flying points it out when a nearby level looks smoother.
• See turbulence that pilots actually reported near your route, across North America.
• Know when thunderstorms are near your route, how close you'll pass, and which way they're moving, with weather radar on the same map.
• Forecasts cover flights worldwide, are usually ready about a day before departure, and are tuned to the size of your plane.
• Built on NOAA forecasts and official aviation advisories. When data is missing, Flying says so instead of guessing.

SEAT MAPS
• See your seat on the cabin layout for your flight, deck by deck.
• Color-coded seat ratings show the better and worse seats at a glance.
• Check each seat's pitch, width, recline, and bed length, plus power and Wi-Fi.

SECURITY LINES AND AIRPORT STATUS
• Check typical security waits at US airports for the day and hour you fly, including TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lines.
• See live security waits at select major US airports, plus customs wait times.
• See delays and disruptions at airports worldwide, with departures and arrivals tracked separately.
• Know why you're waiting. FAA ground stops and delay programs are explained in plain English, with local times.
• Read airport weather in plain language, with raw METAR and TAF for pilots.

STAY AHEAD OF YOUR FLIGHT
• Get fast alerts for delays, gate changes, and takeoffs on your Lock Screen.
• Follow your flight in Live Updates on your Lock Screen, with the landing countdown, gate, and delays always up to date.
• Track the plane flying in to operate your flight, and get a warning when it's running late.
• See how often your flight arrives on time.
• If your flight diverts, see where you landed and the onward flight that gets you the rest of the way.
• Lose your connection and Flying keeps estimating your flight's progress. On in-flight Wi-Fi, updates can keep arriving.

YOUR LOGBOOK
• Save every flight you take, including past trips, and build a complete record of where you've been.
• Add flights automatically from your calendar, or forward your booking confirmation emails.
• See your distance, flights, time in the air, and countries visited, charted year by year.
• Map every route you've flown, along with the airlines, airports, and aircraft you fly most.
• Keep your booking code, seat, and notes with each flight, and see how many times you've flown that route or even that exact plane.
• Find any flight by typing what you remember.

FLY WITH FRIENDS
• Follow your friends' flights as they happen, so you know exactly when to be at arrivals.
• Share any flight with a link so family can follow along from takeoff to touchdown.
• Compete on the leaderboard for flights, miles, time in the air, airports, countries, and airlines.

EXPLORE
• Check any airport's status, live traffic, and weather.
• See how each airline is running today, from on-time departures to cancellations.
• Browse airline fleets with each aircraft's type, age, and first flight.
