Description
The low FODMAP diet app has been developed in partnership with medical experts and dietitians from Kings College and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. The app enables you to search for suitable packaged UK foods when following the low FODMAP diet.
Dietary triggers are difficult to identify but research has shown that some carbohydrates (FODMAPs) may contribute to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Restricting FODMAP intake has been shown to improve these symptoms caused by ibs food intolerances but this may not apply to everyone. The low FODMAP diet has been shown to be effective in managing IBS symptoms in up to 70% of people.
Using the app you will be able to manage all three stages of the low fodmap ibs diet to create a FODMAP plan, search and scan barcodes to find FODMAP friendly foods. Improve your chances of successfully following the low FODMAP diet and then re-introducing foods to understand the ingredients that are triggering your symptoms.
Key features: • Scan barcodes to check FODMAP friendly foods • Search quickly and easily for everyday FODAMP diet foods • Share your re-introduction charts with your clinician/dietitian • Quick FODMAP food check and guidance on portion sizes • Regularly updated tips & tricks from the dietitian • Create your own personalised FODMAP profile • At each stage track and record your symptoms • Full product ingredient and nutrition facts from food label • Create your own personalised shopping lists
The app should be used in consultation with a healthcare professional.

Barcode scanner doesn't work on my phone and i would like to see the bad indredients hi-lighted. Overall a very usefull app.
★★★★★
The apps scan feature is so useful in the beggining where i am now to try and identify fodmap friendly foods. Loving the app
★★★★★
Life changing app It's not the slickest and is a bit unresponsive to touch sometimes but come on it makes such a difference to your life if your own low fodmap diet to be able to quickly check products by barcode!
★★☆☆☆
Buggy, unusable, poor database Basically the worst, least flexible, least stable fodmap out there. I want a refund. Stick to the monash app and a food diary like mysymptoms
★★☆☆☆
Scanner very difficult to use on my phone. It tends to freeze on the previous scanned image. Also it does not respond to the scan button until about the fifth attempt. Maybe this is an Android compatibility issue? The app recognises no Aldi products at all and quite a few Tesco ones are missing where guidance would be useful. eg some Tesco Free From gravy granules appear suitable but aren't listed. In general the app seems to be for rich people who buy expensive brands!
★★☆☆☆
Not worth paying for! Great that you can scan bar codes but it often didn't work thus making it redundant and the app crashes all the time. Its free for 14 days and then you have to pay but I don't think it's worth it.
★★☆☆☆
Scanner feature needs improvement. Installed app, registered, scanned 5 barcodes and all 5 weren't in their system. These are common foods and should have been there. I'm deleting and gotta figurw out how to unregister.
