Best no fuss music player I've found. If you prefer to organize your own life (eg: all MP3 files in folders by artist) and ignore tags, this is it. UPDATE: discovered after more testing that previously reported channel dropout requires 3 conditions - setting stereo balance off center (even slightly), enabling equalizer, and interrupting playback (pausing or skipping). Weird, but centering the stereo balance avoids the issue. UPDATE: Problem solved. Not the app. Old android version bug!

Just what I needed. Of course, I organize music in folders - amazing how other players can't cope with that. I've had to drop a star since getting a fancy car with Android Auto. If I have folder player open when Android Auto starts, Android auto locks in on that app, and I can't get rid of it. I have to clear all the data on Android Auto and make sure I don't use Folder Player! AI says it's not releasing something or other. No other audio app does this to me.

After uninstalling Folder Player and restarting my phone and then reinstalling and restarting and then uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. etc. Folder Player finally found my mp3 files. Wonderful. Except Folder Player will not actually play my files. I give up.

App no longer shows MP3 files after Android 14 update. It only shows folders, which makes this app not fit for purpose. 1 star until fixed. No excuses from dev accepted.

With moto g60 android 12: the app does not start up and the search engine settings are changed (after a reboot of android there is a notification, is for searching on the android home screen), deleting the cache and storage data and a reinstallation does not fix the problem, the app causes screen flickering when the permission setting screen is shown on startup

I don't know why, since a few weeks ago, the randon function is repeating only 10–12 musics from a folder where I keep almost 200 musics. That is not the behavior expected from a folder player app. The only way to listen all musics is in alphabetical order...
