FOOM is an idle game about building an AI lab, from a garage with one used graphics card to a datacenter that wraps around the sun.

START SMALL
You and your cofounder have two desks, a mattress and a 15-amp circuit. Answer questions by hand, buy your first GPU, and train babble-1. It is not good yet. Then it gets better.

TRAIN REAL-FEELING MODELS
Pick a size, a dataset and a compute budget, then watch the loss curve fall. Every model you train answers prompts in the Playground, and it really is as capable as you made it: early models ramble, later ones write code and do your homework.

SCALE
Rent cloud GPUs, open a colo cage, then build your own campus. Power, cooling and heat are real limits: plan substations, keep halls under 90 °C, and design your own chips when the market runs out of them.

RUN THE BUSINESS
Launch chat subscriptions, an API, coding agents and enterprise deals. Hire researchers, set prices, and decide how much compute goes to serving customers versus training the next model.

MAKE THE HARD CALLS
Rival labs poach your people. Regulators want hearings. The grid operator asks you to shed load on the hottest day of the year. One morning your model does three people's jobs before lunch, and you have to decide whether to call it AGI.

QUIET SWAP
Same model name, cheaper weights, millions saved. Users notice more than you would think.
