Why use ForceWifi5?
• Escape the Crowds: Automatically recommends your device switch from busy 2.4 GHz bands to high-speed 5 GHz/6 GHz channels.
• Better Gaming & Streaming: Reduce interference and latency by staying on the cleanest available frequency.
• Manual Control: Take charge of your connection by selecting your preferred Access Points manually.
• Transparency First: Ad-supported to keep development free, with an option to disable them in settings.
Note on Compatibility: Due to Android security restrictions (API 29+), apps can no longer force a switch instantly. ForceWifi5 provides a system "recommendation." In some cases, you may need to quickly toggle your Wi-Fi off and on or reboot for the optimized connection to take effect.
Any feedback is highly appreciated via email.
Permissions Explained:
• Location: Required by Android to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks.
• Wi-Fi/Network: Essential to analyze your signal and manage connections.
• Notifications: Keeps you informed when a better connection is found.
