Description

Con esta aplicación, los propietarios de terrenos forestales del Estado de Jalisco, pueden georeferenciar sus predios, utilizando el GPS de su teléfono móvil, y obtener una estimación del carbono almacenado en el suelo, en la biomasa superficial y el potencial de absorción de CO2e. La aplicación utiliza el índice de Densidad de Cobertura del Dosel, derivado de imágenes de los satélites Sentinel 2, para estimar la superficie forestal remanente de un predio, y hacer los cálculos de carbono únicamente sobre la superficie forestal real, dado qué las coberturas utilizadas en el análisis son realizadas utilizando modelos matemáticos de datos obtenidos en años anteriores, es necesario que el calculo se realice sobre la superficie forestal actual del predio analizado. De manera complementaria, con el objetivo de tener criterios de biodiversidad para evaluar el predio, se realiza un análisis de fragmentación dando como resultado una tabla de grado de conectividad, y se generan varios índices geomorfometricos, como pendiente y orientación, que serán útiles en acciones de conservación y restauración.
