Description
Fran Bow is a creepy adventure game that tells the story of Fran, a young girl struggling with a mental disorder and an unfair destiny.
After witnessing the gruesome and mysterious loss of her parents, found dismembered at their home, Fran rushes into the woods, together with her only friend, Mr. Midnight, a black cat that Fran had previously received as a present from her parents.
In the forest, Fran goes into shock over the loss of her parents and when she recovers, she’s at Oswald Asylum, an oppressive mental institution for children, and Mr. Midnight is nowhere to be found. After having a dream about her beloved cat, Fran decides to escape from the mental institution to find him and go back home to Aunt Grace, her only living relative.

Great first introduction to the game! I've seen many good things about Fran Bow and have even heard of it from a few people. I love how the player is able to interact with almost everything in the hospital, and meeting new friends is exciting too! The creepiness and unsettling anger throughout this chapter is a perfect pair for the interesting puzzles. Hospitals and asylums are always so eerie.

Excellent game and good story. For the price the chapters seem a bit short to me, but I'm no developer and have no idea how what's involved with creating these games. It's not short enough to stop me from purchasing the chapters.

Sure it's a v well-made game, but it's also basically trauma porn. For folks lucky enough to have not experienced any childhood abuse this is prob really fun and edgy. Otherwise, I'd stay away. Try Agatha Knife instead. Just as dark but less about being trapped, drugged, and neglected.
