The Freading (free reading) Ebook Service was developed by Library Ideas, LLC and is sold to libraries of all types around the world. End users are registered cardholders of participating libraries. Check with your local library for participation.
The end user should use their browser to navigate the library website, then download the book from a library website into this application. Once in the application, the EPUB or PDF book can be explored and read.
The Freading application is designed to lend full support for Adobe DRM and uses Adobe ID for Authentication.
The Freading application includes many features that you would expect for a good reading experience such as tap or swipe to turn pages, remembering the last page read, and selectable text size.

I have read all the reviews concerning this app, and I had the same issues until I re-read the instructions. You have to also install Adobe Digital Edition (ADE) and then re-download your product and it will work. I hope that this will help someone. Be blessed.

I think the app is better than some reviewers have rated it. Yes, it is simple and has few features, but it does the job, gets books from freading and lets you read them, text can resize for those of us who need it and brightness can be adjusted.

I can't read anything. I signed up and activated. There are two books that show as downloaded. No matter what I do, the only message I get is "please choose a book from the library". Useless. I uninstalled.

I have no idea how to answer the "tell us more" questions because on sign-in, it just sticks in an endless loop of "authorizing device." I got as far as entering my library sign-in information, but then it just continuously cycles the "authorizing device" pop-up.

Sign in is practically impossible. Says my email or password is invalid. Have gone to my library for help multiple times. While this has helped, it's frustrating to have to go to my library for an ebook. Each time the problem is something else and something ridiculous such as extra space at the end of my password. I agree with others who have resented being forced to get an Adobe Digital account in order to attempt to use this site.

This app is terrible. I recently downloaded & read a book on Freading with no problem. Two days ago I downloaded 2 books & they do not show up to read & I can't redownload them. I uninstalled the app & reinstalled with no changes.
