I remember in the Yeh Olde Windows 98 SE De fragment showed blocks of data being moved on a grid. It may use a bit of graphics power on the mobile phone. This is the only suggestion I can think of. The app does speed up the access to my memory card.

BEWARE!!! This app defragments your device and microSD as described, which
is great.... BUT, in the process it somehow corrupts or compresses the
files in such a way that they cannot be moved off of the device or microSD,
and the severity is directly linked to the number of times you defrag. Ex:
When I tried to move videos of my baby niece to my PC, it stalled, hung,
and locked up my PC repeatedly at about 80 percent transfer, this was both
via tether and an unmounted SD. This also happened randomly with photos
from various sources, in variable locations (Corruption appeared to be
random, but is likely linked to a file before or after having been moved or
deleted.) Long story short, if not for instant & automatic backup, I would
be irrate. I needed to reformat the microSD twice. The first time locked up
my device (phone), the second attempt was a successful wipe. There's more I
could say, but this enough for the warning. ...
