Brilliant. Excellent, informative and helpful. This got me away from the ineffective calorie counting NHS official weight loss app. Learning what insulin does besides simply lower blood sugar has been invaluable, what it does with the sugar is so important. That all carbohydrates = sugar is another fact ignored in standard health advice. Modern, relatively sedentary life does not call for such high energy fuel. Thank you, the weight is finally shifting 😊

This was set up by two GPs (Dr David Oliver and Dr Kim Andrews) from the Fresh well Health Center, Essex. They started the low-carb program to help their patients, (and now, via the app, the wider UK community) as a result of the high and rising levels of weight gain as well as type 2 diabetes. There's no calorie counting, the app uses a traffic light system to categorize foods. It has superb recipes too. Run by 2 UK GPs, I know I can 100% trust it. And there's a friendly FB group too.

This app is going to give me a headache... The body is much more complex than this and too much emphasis is placed on sugar without the explantive context of how one person's body is different to the next... This would have you believe that a can of coke can cause diabetes yet a glass of fruit juice can't...

Had a brief look through and uninstalled straight away. The meal plans might work for you if you're at home for every meal or have access to a full kitchen at work and are cooking for multiple people each mealtime so aren't going to have tons of leftover fresh ingredients going off. If you're cooking for one and can only use a microwave to cook lunch at work... not so much.
