Description
Gamepad Tester shows you exactly what your controller is sending to Android. See every button press, stick position and trigger value in real time. If a game is not responding as expected, you can quickly determine whether the issue is with the controller or the game.
Connect your controller via Bluetooth, USB-C or OTG and start testing. No account or setup required.
FOUR TESTING MODES
Android Mode: Tests every input using Android's native button names. Start here to see exactly what Android detects from your controller.
PS Mode (Type 1): Displays a PlayStation-style controller layout with familiar button symbols, including the Share, Options and PS buttons.
PS Mode (Type 2): Supports PlayStation controllers that Android detects using a shifted button mapping. If Type 1 highlights the wrong buttons, switch to Type 2 for the correct layout.
Universal Mode: Tests any controller, including devices Android does not fully recognize. View numbered buttons and raw axis values for every available input.
HARDWARE TESTS
Vibration: Tests both rumble motors independently on controllers that expose them, with adjustable strength, presets and a ramp sweep. Isolates each motor to help identify which one may not be working.
Motion: Shows live gyroscope and accelerometer data, with a drift test that checks whether the controller reports movement while resting still.
Touchpad: Tests multi-touch input and touchpad clicks on supported PlayStation controllers.
LED: Tests the light bar on controllers that have one, using a color wheel or automatic hue cycle. This can help identify failed red, green or blue LED channels.
READING THE RESULTS
A stick that does not return to the center may be drifting. A trigger that does not reach its full range may be worn or damaged. A vibration motor that does not respond may have failed.
Gamepad Tester provides the live input values, while the built-in guide explains what the results mean and how to identify common controller issues.
Any button without a fixed place on the deck is added to an Extra buttons list the first time you press it, so an unusual input is never missed.
BUYING A SECOND-HAND CONTROLLER
Test every button, stick, trigger and hardware feature before completing a purchase. A full controller check takes only a few minutes.
WORKS WITH
Gamepad Tester is designed to work with PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, 8BitDo, Razer, GameSir, Backbone, Steam and other Bluetooth or USB controllers supported by Android.
Compatibility may vary depending on the controller, Android device and Android version. Any controller recognized by Android as a gamepad can be tested, while Universal Mode helps test controllers with unusual or unsupported button mappings.
FREE TO USE
Gamepad Tester is free and supported by ads. A one-time Premium purchase removes ads permanently.
All controller testing tools remain available for free.
Gamepad Tester is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or any other controller manufacturer. All product names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

This app does its job of testing game pads/controllers that are connected through Bluetooth or USB there's nothing much to say, but there is a variety of game pads you could test, or you can just test any android compatible controller

Was Good to test if all buttons are working or not after cleaning. My Dual shock 4 had this auto clicking for PS button. I was able to detect it and test it after cleaning.

Barely usable due to full-screen ads with no way to exit. I usually have to close the app a few times to get to an ad that's closeable, so I can use the testing feature.

Data harvesting app, have to negate at least 30 "legitimate interest cookies one by one since there is no option to negate them all. Love lack of privacy. I only wanted to test vibration motors on an external controller.

Terrible app made completely unusually by ads. I couldn't even get to the testing screen.

App used to work with PS5 controllers either intentionally or unintentionally, now all the buttons inputs don't match.
