GeoHunt - IRL Hide and Seek

GeoHunt – Real-World GPS Tag & Hide-n-Seek

Dive into the ultimate outdoor tag/marco polo game! GeoHunt blends classic hide-and-seek with real-time GPS, turning your neighborhood, park or campus into an interactive game board. Grab your friends, set the boundary, and race to tag, chase, and outsmart your opponents—all on your phone!

🔍 Game Overview
Live Map Play
See all players’ locations on a Google Map in real-time. A safe “play boundary” circle keeps the action contained—and warns you if you stray too far.

Who’s “IT”?
One or more players can be designated “IT.” Tag someone by getting close enough (and waiting out any cooldown), or send them “Out of Bounds” if they wander outside the play area.

Dynamic Tag Transfers
When “IT” catches up, the role transfers instantly. Multiple “IT” players? No problem—you choose who to tag next.

⚙️ Core Features

Each player’s avatar moves as they move. Never lose track of your friends!

Safe-Zone Boundary
Customize your radius; receive countdown warnings if you get too far.

Built-In Chat & Notifications
Quick-tap chat previews and an expandable chat panel let you strategize on the fly. Unread badges keep you in the loop.

Distance & Direction
Toggle between metric and imperial (default: metric). See arrows pointing toward each player relative to your camera view.

Player List & Status
Compact leaderboard shows who’s “IT,” how far away everyone is, and even truncates long names for a clean look.

Instantly recenter the map on your current location—so you never lose your way.
