GetGreen is the mobile platform that helps you make an impact on climate change through your everyday habits! Our goal is to empower individuals to transform industries and the environment through collective individual actions.
The Pew Research Center shows that 80% of people want to make changes in how they work and live to reduce the effects of global climate change, but not everyone knows where to start. GetGreen offers various levels of entry to assist everyone ranging from beginners to experts.
Changing old habits can be difficult, so GetGreen can help you target specific areas in your life to suggest eco-friendly actions and new habits to adopt to help fight the climate crisis. Helpful notifications keep you on track until the new, sustainable habits become your normal routine.
Each action you complete earns “leaves” which represent approximately 10 pounds of CO2 diverted from reaching the atmosphere. Those leaves give you an easy way to track your progress and see the impact of all of your actions.

I've always assumed the Earth will be a burning dumpster fire a century from now. But until Elon gives me a spot in his Mars colony (fingers crossed!), apps like this make me feel a little better on the day-to-day. I especially like the food/dining suggestions. I think I'll have my fam do the "no red meat" one next week.
