Gig: Hire Local Help & Pros

Gig connects you with local pros for almost anything, and lets you earn by offering your own skills. Describe the job in your own words, and Gig finds people near you who can do it, ranked by rating, distance and how quickly they reply. One account works both ways: hire help, or list your services and get hired.

Gig takes no commission. Pros keep 100% of what they charge, and you pay each other directly.

NEED SOMETHING DONE?
• Search in plain words, like "someone to fix a leaking sink this weekend", instead of guessing a category
• See pros near you with their rating, reviews, starting price, distance and response time
• Read a full profile before you reach out
• Message pros in the app without sharing your phone number or email
• Search by voice, and choose the area and distance you want

POST A JOB AND LET PROS COME TO YOU
• Describe the job once, pick the day and time, and add a budget if you like
• Gig sends it to the best-matched pros nearby
• Interested pros reply with a quote and a note, and you choose who to hire
• Ask questions in chat before you decide

OFFER YOUR SKILLS
• List any service you offer and set your own price
• Turn on job alerts to get requests from people near you, and reply with your own quote
• Switch a listing off when you're busy and back on when you're free
• Build your reputation with reviews from the people you work for
• Keep 100% of what you earn

HELP FOR ALMOST ANYTHING
House cleaning, handyman jobs and home repair, furniture assembly, TV mounting, moving help, junk removal, yard work and gardening, dog walking and pet sitting, babysitting, tutoring and music lessons, personal training, photography, cooking and meal prep, tech help, errands and much more.

BUILT FOR TRUST
• Ratings and reviews on every profile
• Block and report on every profile and conversation
• Messages are screened for scams, and suspicious accounts are paused for a person to review
• Share photos, videos and your live location in chat when it helps
• Delete your account and its data from inside the app

WORKS IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Gig speaks 18 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. Listings, reviews and messages are translated automatically, so a language barrier never stops you hiring or getting hired.

Gig is free to download and free to join. What you find depends on which pros have listed services near you.
