Fantastic app for syncing notes to a GitHub repo. Exactly what I was looking for. Works great! You can also pull down the repo on your computer, commit and push changes to your notes, and the app automatically syncs those changes. Very cool.

Love Git Journal and use it with Dendron. Would also love a feature to share to an existing note (similar to Signal's "note to self"). Essentially, the user would be able to see recent note titles in the Android share menu and select one to append to its existing content

This app works well and has so much potential, but it is really neglected by the developer (no updates for ages now). Performance drops sharply once you have markdown files with a lot of text (it stutters while opening the file, while scrolling and while typing, thus rendering the app unusable) ☹️ Also you can't use "Find in note" when previewing the markdown which makes it hard to find content in large files.

Got to be the buggiest app I've ever installed on Android: horrible visual glitches, UI that is barely usable in places [re-created my SSH keys and tried 'load from file' and the app kept loading the previous key --even though it had been deleted on disc!]. And all that's before you even start on the endless Git-related authentication errors [SHA-1 not supported. No other key types recognized, etc.]. Love the idea, but this is alpha quality software at best. No way should this be a paid app.

A great idea, but so limited you can't even use it after download. I tried to load a file already in my git repo to see how things looked and how they worked. Can't! I tried adding the repo. Can't. Gitolite is controlled entirely by ssh keys. It wants *both* ssh keys (security violation) and a password (which gitolite doesn't use). Obviously not going to work for gitolite users. So, great idea. It would replace two apps I'm already using, but you've got to do better at the basics.
