I like it it only sometimes is a bit cumbersome in terms of syncing my obsidian vault (I deactivated the git plugin ofc)

Awesome. I started to use Obsidian right now, both in Android and Windows versions, and I was able to sync all my .md files using Git Sync, so now I can seamlessly integrate all my notes in my laptop and smartphone at the same GitHub repository.

Edit: the app is completely useless now. Whoever is developing this needs to get their head out their behind. it's a much-needed git app that barely works, but when it works, it works fine. Every other time you open it it will get stuck in a loop, making reinstall the app to get it working again. It works for a while then you repeat the reinstallation. Given there is no other with a simple git function, this is it. I guess.

Doesn't support private email address setting for commits in GitHub. The initial clone is buggy and hangs, but after some fiddling, it eventually worked (hence the 2 stars instead of one). Free tier only supports 1 repo, and the premium tier is cost prohibitive. There's a weird setting asking for all access perms with little to no explanation (hard no). All of these make it a dealbreaker. Uninstalling and looking for another solution.

Freezes, looses my ssh credentials. Background sync stops working even with all access permissions granted. Lost path to my local repo recently.
