How it works:

Nearby Glasses Detector looks for Bluetooth signals commonly associated with smart glasses and similar nearby devices. During a scan, the app can also show other nearby Bluetooth devices so you have more context around what is in range. When the app sees a likely nearby glasses match, it highlights the result so you can check your surroundings and decide what to do next.

What results mean:

- A result means a compatible nearby device may be present
- Results do not confirm recording state, camera use, or user intent
- Some devices may change identifiers, hide signals, or appear only briefly
- Scan quality can vary based on your phone, Android version, and the environment

Tips for better scan results:

- Keep Bluetooth enabled during a nearby glasses scan
- Give the scan a few seconds to complete before judging the result
- Re-scan if you move to a new room, vehicle, or seating area
- Review history to spot repeat nearby glasses detections over time

Privacy and control:

Nearby Glasses Detector stores scan history locally in the app. There is no required account or developer-operated cloud sync. Android may include app data in system backup or device-transfer services according to your Android and Google account settings.

Important:

- Detection is probabilistic, not guaranteed
- Some nearby smart glasses may not broadcast detectable signals
- Other Bluetooth devices may appear in scan results for context
- Results depend on phone hardware, Android version, nearby signal conditions, and device behavior

Recent changes:
German is now available throughout the app, including scanning, results, history, settings and notifications.
Long navigation labels stay readable with larger text.
Detection alerts now make clearer that Bluetooth matches are clues, not proof that someone is recording.
