Description
Glenby is a real-world scavenger hunt through your city and the nature around it. Every day you get a few tasks that fit the season and where you are: find a stream, photograph an oak, reach a lookout for sunset. Get outside, go for a walk, discover places you usually pass by.
How it works: pick a task, head out, do it. A photo keeps the moment, location and time confirm you were really there. That is all the proof it takes. Your city passport collects every city you have found something in, from first find to gold.
Over 200 cities. Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, London and many more: every city comes with real places, each with a photo and a story. The radar shows what is near you, from the park around the corner to a monument you have walked past a hundred times.
And you stay in touch. The chat inside Glenby is a full private messenger:
• Messages are end-to-end encrypted. Only you can read them, we cannot. • Send photos, voice messages and reactions. View-once photos disappear after viewing. • Encrypted voice and video calls, straight from the chat. • Make the chat yours: wallpapers, colors and effects, all rendered on your device. • You decide about read receipts and whether screenshots are allowed in a chat. • Verify your encryption together with a safety code. • Start a party and take on tasks as a group, with its own group chat. • Your history stays yours: encrypted backup to your own Google Drive, or straight from one device to another without our servers. • No phone number needed. Friends find you by code or username.
Calm, not loud. Glenby counts in weeks, not days. Miss a week and nothing breaks. No global leaderboard, no ads, and none of the tricks built to keep you on your phone. The point is being outside more often. Not in the app more often.
Your data stays yours. Glenby stores data in Western Europe. You can export everything or delete your account at any time (GDPR Art. 17 and 20). No face recognition, no hidden profile.
