GlideGauge Ski Bench

GlideGauge Ski Bench turns your phone into the tuning bench.

Three large brushed-steel analog dials sit at the centre of the Bench Console: wax-iron temperature (0–160 °C), edge bevel (0–3° base / 85–90° side, resolved into an effective included angle) and wax hardness index. Drag a dial and it clicks through haptic detents and engraved hairline ticks, with soft, universal and cold colour bands.

THE PASS RIBBON
Along the bottom edge, the pass ribbon records everything as it happens — every dial change, scraper pass, brush stroke and spoken remark — in the order you made it, with per-entry timestamps, tap-to-jump-back and one-tap undo of the last pass.

QUIVER RACK
Five editable setups ship ready to change: All-Mountain 88, GS Race 65, Freeride 108, Park twin-tip and an All-Mountain snowboard. Each plate carries base material, current edge angles, iron-temperature ceiling and last service state, and is clearly labelled as a sample you can edit or replace.

WAX LAB
Enter snow temperature, humidity, snow age and crystal type. The seeded wax library — hydrocarbon, graphite, moly, cold and wet blends — returns a layering plan with iron temperature and the exact scrape-and-brush sequence.

EDGE LAB
Base bevel and side bevel resolve into the effective included angle and are drawn as a scaled file-guide setup diagram. For park and rail setups, the tip and tail de-tuning depth is flagged.

STRUCTURE LAB
Match stone-grind pattern (linear fine, cross-hatch, broken, coarse wet) to snow type and humidity, with a grind-depth caution band for each base material.

CAPTURE
Pin a photo of the base, edge or stone structure straight into the active tuning session, with a before/after pair view and thumbnail markers sitting in the pass ribbon. Press and hold the ring on any dial to record a voice note bound to that exact reading — it plays back in place on the dial or in the ribbon.

DAY PLANNER
Give the resort plus today's air temperature, snow temperature and new-snow depth, and get a wax-and-structure call for the day. Rewax reminders arrive after a set number of snow days.

BUILT TO STAY ON YOUR DEVICE
No account, no network, no ads, no in-app purchases. Wax charts, edge-angle maths, grind-pattern tables and snow-type data all resolve offline from an on-device database. Export a tuning card as a PNG, and clear photos, voice notes and database records any time from the Privacy & Data screen. Camera and microphone access is requested only when you use it, and notifications only after your first saved session.
