Description
Traditional tsumego is essential, but it often fails to prepare players for the chaos of real games. Powered by AI, "Go: The Infinite Path" bridges this gap, delivering puzzles that mirror the battles you face in real games.
We’ve redefined tsumego with 3 key innovations:
1. Whole-Board Tsumego Traditional tsumego focuses on internal eye spaces, ignoring the influence of surrounding stones and hidden potential. In real games, nearby stones often dictate the outcome of a situation. Our app offers tsumego problems grounded in whole board contexts, teaching you to analyze the entire board, not just localized positions.
2. Early Moves Shape the Battle Tsumego typically emphasizes the final stage of a fight, where eyes are either forming or being destroyed. But what about the earlier stages, when conflicts are just beginning to take shape? Mastery in early and middle stage of a fight often determines the course of the fight. Our app challenges you with battles across all stages, sharpening your tesuji and tactics from the beginning.
3. Shape Evaluation Skills Traditional tsumego clearly defines objectives—kill or survive—leaving little room to develop judgment. In real games, however, players must evaluate positions and predict outcomes before acting. In "Go: The Infinite Path", objectives are not pre-defined. You'll learn to assess statuses, enabling you to make decisions with confidence in real games.

Honestly, great app! Each puzzle is a double puzzle where you must kill the group and survive the counterattack. I'm pretty strong, but the AI is more than strong enough to clap back when I make a reading mistake.

As a beginner, I spent a few days reading theory and solving traditional tsumego but just couldn't apply any of those to my games. Then I played this for a few hours (at Qi Condensation level now) and it was hard but really whipped me into shape and all the theory I studied clicked into place for me and my playing improved noticeably. Wish there was something between manual win and automatic win though. Oftentimes auto win isn't obvious enough for me yet but manual is too tedious to play out.
