Goa Traffic Sentinel

Goa Traffic Sentinel App facilitates easy reporting of violations under traffic sentinel scheme which was launched on 10th Nov. 2017 which empowers the general public to participate in the better management of traffic in Goa.

As a part of community policing, active participation of members of the public through Traffic Sentinel Scheme will be sought to prosecute traffic violators. This scheme will also play a major role in creating road safety awareness among various sections of road users. In this scheme, any person can report traffic violation by capturing the photo/video of the defaulting vehicle and send it through this Mobile App. All such persons reporting violations will be rewarded as per the point table.

Traffic Sentinel is a person who reports traffic violations committed on Goan roads using Goa Traffic Sentinel icon on One Touch Mobile App on Android platform. Predefined reward points i.e. Rs. 1000 for every 100 points for different violations will be credited in the account of the Traffic Sentinel. Traffic Sentinel will be rewarded as per the scheme according to his/her accumulated reward points.

The Goa Traffic Sentinel has following features

1. Register as a Sentinel
2. Report traffic violations using photo/video
3. Submit query/Feedback
4. Monitor status of the violations reported, reward point earned and disbursements of
the renewal amount.

1. Registration of Sentinel

The user can register as a Sentinel by validating her/his mobile No. and completing the profile details after accepting the terms & conditions. Each registered sentinel has issued a traffic sentinel code which can be viewed in the sentinel profile.

2 Report Traffic Violation:

The registered sentinel has an option to report a traffic violation using photo/video. For security reasons, the photo/video should be captured from the traffic sentinel app only. The photo/video captured through the app is geotagged and time stamped to get the accurate location of the violation. The sentinel can select one or more applicable violations against the captured photo/video, provide motor vehicle number and landmark (if any) and submit the offense to the Traffic Cell.

3. Submit Query/ Feedback :

The sentinel can submit query/feedback using the feedback option available inside the app.

4. Monitor statuses :

The app will list the status of the offense/violation and will display notification based on the approval, rejection, rewards, and disbursement.
