Description by Good Impact(from Google Play)
Scandals, conflicts, and natural disasters. If that’s what we see on TV and social media 24/7, it's no wonder we’re struggling with depression, anxiety, and apathy – and Covid has only made matters worse.
Media outlets operate according to the decades-old “if it bleeds, it leads” mantra. We are more likely to pay attention to bad news, and since that’s what keeps newsrooms going, negative stories dominate the narrative. We’re here to fix this imbalance.
Every day, from Monday to Friday, we browse the internet to find stories about inspiring people, innovations, and solutions to eco-social problems. The result: five good news editions a week – each made up of the six most uplifting and relevant stories from around the world.
Whether it be clean energy, animal rights, recycling, social justice, biodiversity, global health, or technological advancements, we will make sure to cover all relevant aspects of life.
Our app will lift the cloud of negativity, provide you with a constructive perspective on the world, and inspire you to challenge the status quo! It will be that unexpected breeze of fresh air you didn’t realize you needed to keep going. That’s a promise!
And don’t forget: YOU ARE WHAT YOU READ, SO READ GOOD NEWS!

In the current world events especially in the United States there is so negativity. It is great to read good articles regarding positive things in the world.

This app brightens my day because usually I see negative and usually biased news articles that often aren't good sources so this app helps me a lot

Full transparency: I read comments before I downloaded--I get that the app is a news aggregator, so they aren't responsible for the articles' content that they link. But in my experience, developers that cop attitudes when addressing users' comments, & the frequent passing of the buck to redirect blame, usually they don't make the proper improvements to their app/service & often beg for review changes. No go for me.

Shame they broke it. It was never great. But it was a simple app that provided a small about of selected good news stories. Now they've ruined it. Hard to navigate easily. Multiple presses to achieve anything Going to delete 😐

Layout is poor and oly has a few stories so vaguely worded it's pointless. They stopped the news for a "holiday break". Useless.

This app isn't very good I'm afraid... I typed in UK news. Hometown news. Motorcycling. Latest mens wear deals etc... Places to eat locally. In fact anything good locally or abroad, all it shows is AI science robot arms birds and wildlife etc . Not for me, sorry.
