Best alternative to "text now" not to mention all premium features of text now are available with Google Voice for free!!! Definitely recommend people use this, gives u an actual number that isn't read as a "VoIP number" with companies.

I find that this application works good very well much of the time. I do seem to experience some instability for Wi-Fi calling but do not experience that with other Wi-Fi calling applications on this device, and I'm within 3 ft of my router. I also find it extremely frustrating when you update the program and do not quantify or qualify what the actual fixes were. Just saying "bug fixes and stability" is grossly non-descriptive. We can do better.

The Spam icon!! And Multi-voice lines, please!why can't I say a number is spam when I get spam text messages?it appears on known contacts, but not unknown. Which is really the point, right? No, I don't want to use the web vers. If I have 1+ Google accounts, and those accounts are on my Google Pixel, I should be able to have 1+ Google voice accounts linked to 1 cell phone and work on my 1 Google Pixel. It makes sense to me.

Overall it is a good app. I've been using it for about 10 years and the call reliability has increased over that time. Wish they could upgrade to RCS messages. For some reason you can no longer open photos in the Voice app. It tries to open them in either Google Photos or Files. This is a regression that nobody asked for. (It opens photos just fine on my Apple devices, so it's extra annoying to experience this on a Pixel.)

Read reviews. I say freedom of speech I say a lot but stop putting information online these people keep it for years.I download app it wants 2 many permissions I have seen none in comments complain about phone number ID 2 much information I read books keyboard👀 they control 75%🫵🏾 phone and 🫵🏾 pay for IP address, features, data I have seen Google blocked me out playstore😬 spectrum app saying you have to be an adult well I am 🫵🏾 call me a child I'll call 🫵🏾 a pedophile.😬 trickery? I have been one of the biggest proponents of Google Voice.... and now I'm getting slathered with spam calls - that AREN'T RECOGNIZED as spam. What happened to the Great Google and its Spam-fighting call technology? Moreso - numbers can't be marked/reported as spam calls within Google Voice. Edit update: I will add 1 star. The function *is* there. But, it is completely hidden by extra clicks and almost contrary to the traditional Android Phone app. Why not be consistent between apps???

When I tried to use this the first time it asked for verification again, even though I completed that. Now I'm about to lose my phone number. The verification link sends me to the play store. The play store (clicked open) takes me back to Google voice asking to verify. With no one to help troubleshoot, absolutely no support, I would give this no stars if I could. And yes, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. In response to the reply, I HAVE verified my identity. Twice. It still doesn't work.
