GovHK Notifications provides citizens a convenient way to receive Government information and alerts with mobile devices. Users would be able to choose their preferred types of Government notifications to receive.
Major functions include: ● Receive notification messages from the Government of Hong Kong SAR; ● Select categories of messages they are interested to receive; and ● Share notification messages via SMS, email, Facebook, etc.
Note: ● Notification messages are sent to mobile devices (with GovHK Notifications installed) through Google services, namely Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Useful, but no easy way to clear notifications. Please install a "Read All" (or similar) function in order to clear the number of unread messages. At the moment, users have to go in to ever single message to mark them as read. If not, the number of unread messages status on the widget icon.

交通消息成日響但成日都係嗰啲 Most traffic news for the same case on the same road. Newer alerts never replace the older ones, occupying the whole notification bar. Even worse is that it doesn't alert you when you need it most - I got stuck on WO YI HOP RD this morning due to urgent pipeline services but never been alerted :-(
