Comments on GPS Navigation (Offline Maps) for Android

★★★★☆ Sanjay Biswas · Sep 10, 2022

Fixes one of the frustrating limitations of Wear OS watch (Samsung Galaxy Watch Pro 5), which is even though I have LTE version of the watch Google Maps navigation does not work standalone if I turn off the phone and leave it at home, only if the phone is remotely connected. However, OFFLINE navigation (when I turn off the LTE, or Wi-Fi on my watch) cannot seem to get it working. Is Offline navigation possible for both driving, walking and cycling?

★☆☆☆☆ Steve Shergold · Jun 6, 2026

Watch side does not work, constantly searching for satellites, all location services enabled. And phone side doesn't do anything, seems to be just for sending license to watch. I paid for this POS.

★★☆☆☆ roi · Mar 25, 2026

The offline map is disappointed so weak and not feasible to be used normally that it doesn't contain content of cities but just a rough map with main roads, unless you keep online. App screen icons are transparently strongly seen behind the map erroneously which messes up with the offline map! "Service error" when failed to load the app from watch! Thinking of a refund unless the offline map shows the basic content normally.

No support for Serbia. When you add Serbia you will get 5 stars from me
