Awesome I worked five years as a surveyor and we used expensive equipment and Cad computers, so far I been able to do the same with this app
★★★★★
Excellent for purpose This is a great app for gps surveys every bit as good as a dedicated handheld. I have been surveying with Gps for nearly 10yrs with leica equipment and for a quick rough survey this is great.

Useful tool. App works well for marking property boundaries. Would be even better if it allowed you to edit/delete points.
★★☆☆☆
Useless on Galaxy S5 I installed the app on the Samsung Galaxy S5. There is not a menu button on the S5 and there is not one available within the app. It is useless without menu options.
★★☆☆☆
No software menu button All actions are apparently hidden in a menu accessed by "pressing the menu button". Except there doesn't seem to be a software menu button, and my device has no hardware menu button, so I can't do anything with the app.

Inaaccurate and unreliable. Your phone is not survey grade. Real GPS surveying equipment costs $30,000+ for a reason. As an actual party chief in a land surveying crew, I can tell you this app is worthless. It can and will be off by several meters. Legally, you either have to be a licensed Land Surveyor or own the property you're surveying. Surveying your own property is like doing your own dental work: It's really not a good idea. However, if you are proficient in trigonometry, understand in depth property and real estate law, and the procedures of boundary location, then you can get MUCH more accurate results the old fashined way with a steel tape (surveyor's tape, not a pocket tape), two plumb bobs and a helper knows what they're doing. But more than likely, you'll still screw it up. There is a reason that Professional Land Surveyors are required to have 6 years of experience, two of which are responsible charge. Most states now require a bachelor's degree in addition. Don't be stupid, build a fence or a building in the wrong spot, get sued by your neighbors or end up having to tear down your granny flat you spent months and $100,000 building. Pay the $1200-$5500 to have a professional do it. You'll save yourself a lot of grief.
