Charging $5 for something that is a free service is ridiculous. There are many websites and app where you can listen to the scanner 100% for free. On a side note. The people that run this app are very biased and if you say something that is a fact (ex: about homelessness)and they don't like it, they will block you from their page.

I don't know if it's legal to have a public safety monetize like this I used to get this through Tune In you had two different channels for free I didn't have to give my phone number put in a code for my email address to Grey's harbor county with this COVID-19 going on I would like to hear what's going around in my area fire department police department ambulances in my personal opinion you have decreased my public safety (still forcing me to use your app with should be out there for free)
