Started playing a couple of days ago. So far it's a pretty straight forward task. You visit businesses in your area, and you get credits for making that visit. You can get credits every hour and a half. So it's an active task that you need to complete to get your credits. I have been given bonus credits and gems for my actions. You buy either local businesses or international businesses with your credits and gems. The more that you make visits benefits you in the end.

Good game with unfortunately few players. It's interesting in that it's not importing locations from other databases, so you can create any locations near you. Interesting strategy for a GPS based game.

Inactive game, no active players, and too many of the still playing are bullies that enjoy attacking new players. Virtually impossible to start, uninstalling after less than a month.

Weird game that penalizes players for being active. If you're more active by checking in frequently, you end up making inactive players richer and their properties more valuable. End up, you've an even harder time taking over their properties as their value keeps increasing. When others buys over your properties (you can't refuse), you'll get back less resources than what you'd invested. Unless there are other players who check in there regularly. Game seems to encourage players to be inactive.
