Green Tracks - hiking partner

★★★★★ I love this app! It is easy to use with both online and offline maps. I do trail running and hiking and by overlaying the tracks on the maps, it actually helps me many times. It also helps me to plan and get the idea of the area I'll visit. I highly recommend this app! You can use all the features for free, but I just purchased it as a support and as a thanks.

★★☆☆☆ Trying to download open street map for hiking, and it's just not working....some instructions would really help.

★★☆☆☆ I would expect it would be very intuitive and easy to upload a map and a .gpx file (probably the most common tasks for a gps unit). I downloaded a .map file from maps forge and saved it to my phone. When I go to offline maps and select it, I see nothing. There is no map present. I downloaded a .gpx file from Caltrop. I cannot, after 20 minutes of searching, find any method to simply "import a .gpx file". I can share it, but I can't actually import it to see anything. Perhaps a very basic user manual would be helpful? I don't know how this app is so well rated???
