I love the smart devices. The only problem I had was that it did not detect my devices and time out. The problem was the device was connecting to Wi-Fi and my Android device was connecting to another Wi-Fi. So if you have Wi-Fi extenders in your house it could be a little confusing, as it does not tell you which Wi-Fi the device is connecting to. It only brings up the Wi-Fi your Android is connected to.

For months this has worked fine but suddenly all 4 of my Green Dot smart plugs are no longer being recognized by Google Home. They work in the Green Dot app before & after I uninstalled and reinstalled. I removed the devices from Google Home, now when I try to reconnect, when I select the app under "works with Google" I get an error: "Could not reach Green Dot Smart home. Please try again." I'm stuck! Very inconvenient!

Garbage app and devices. As others have said devices simply won't connect. I was able to add them to Alexa using smart life app that I had from a different brand of plugs. Which goes to show how bad this app is... But even then only 1 out of 4 of my plugs work properly, rest turn off by themselves after a few minutes. Garbage all around.

My smart plug just stopped working. I got a new router that uses both 5.0 and 2.4 GHz and this outdated piece of trash app only accepts a dedicated 2.4 GHz network meaning I would have to split my connection which is not recommended by my ISP. Hoping that there's a new or alternative app I can use but this one is useless to me now.
