Description
This calculator is unique, and works only with GreenLoop Hydroponic Nutrients.
Easily manages your hydroponic solution, using GreenLoop Hydroponic Nutrients. You need to enter just 2 values : • TDS • Volume of water you topped-up to bring level back to top of hydroponic system/tank.
And this calculator will tell how much nutrients to add, or if you need to discard it & make afresh. It will also tell you how much useful nutrients remain in your hydroponic solution. Makes life too easy for GreenLoop users.
You do not have to bother about complicated aspects like EC, nutrient consumption by plants, TDS accumulation, Useful versus Useless TDS, how much water loss through transpiration, different readings by different TDS meters etc. This Nutrient Calculator considers all this, so you are free.
Start by filling in volume of your tank, TDS of plain water, and TDS after adding nutrients. Now start using your hydroponic system to grow plants. Then, after every few days (say 3-4 days), take the TDS reading again using same TDS meter, and add water to top-up to same earlier level in your tank. Keep repeating every 3-4 days.
IMPORTANT : Use same TDS meter. Different TDS meters show different readings. So its important that you keep using your same TDS meter. Better to use a 4 digit TDS meter.
Note : 1. Readings will not change much when plants are small. 2. Additionally, you should ensure pH is less than 6.5 3. Keep hydroponic solution cool - below 25 deg C. Definitely below 30 deg C.
