Description

Google Map Location based app that shows standard Grid References for Great Britain, Ireland and the Channel Isles, and Lat and Long position too. Great for finding where you are, and where that spot in the distance is! Hopefully useful for ornithologists, hill walkers and anyone doing anything out and about. Bearing and GPS accuracy added.

Has ability to copy marker grid reference to the clipboard or to email. Button to toggle map/satellite and button to return the marker to the GPS location of the phone.

v1.13: Icon updated for legal reasons
v1.12: Bug in tetrad reference fixed, and changed to more battery efficient GPS location updates
v1.11: Bearing from location and GPS accuracy added
v1.10: Think I fixed the 'No location' force close issue, and changed Home button to 'Phone location'
v1.09: Further UI changes to cater for diff types of phone, and NEW email button to send Time, Grid reference and Lat/Long through phone email system...

★★★★★ Small and effective Tiny app that works exactly as the dev describes. Only app I've found that'll show not just the OS grid reference of the phone's location, but also of any map point you choose.

★★★★★ Xperia Ray Absolutely fantastic, although GPS does get stuck on after closing the app. . . Although you can then manually switch off on phone settings or widget if you have one. Fix this and allow to switch between miles and km and I'd say its a five star :-)

★★☆☆☆ Battery hog Massively drains battery - even when you thought the app was closed!! Uninstalled. Oh - and real BAD FORM for a dev to rate their own app with a 5 star reply to a 1 star comment.

★★☆☆☆ Well It didn't work 4me! Program wouldn't even start! Force Close error message. Galaxy SII user.

★★☆☆☆ Drains battery :( Not nice to have a rapid battery drain caused by this aop - especially when you need it most- ie hillwalking. Deleted.
