GRIDBORN – From Rookie to Legend

An offline car racing game in retro pixel art: drive an open-wheel race car from a top-down view, win races and take Luca Serra from his family’s workshop to the Apex World Series, the world championship of single-seater racing.

A touch-friendly arcade racing game: braking zones, racing lines, overtakes and slides to catch on closed circuits, with a driver career built one race at a time. Real car racing, a real story and no connection needed.

RACING CAREER AND STORY
• A tutorial and 30 races across five chapters: Valleys Club Trophy, Coastal Regional Championship, National Single-Seater Series, Continental Cup and Apex World Series.
• To reach the Apex World Series you must win all of the first 24 races.
• A complete story with a prologue, scenes before and after every event, and an ending.
• Nine choices that shape your relationships with Clara, Enzo, Nico and Maya, and how the story ends.
• Long-time rivals with stories of their own: Dario, Giulia, Tommaso, Henrik, Amaya and Kenji, with profiles and head-to-head records in the diary.
• Every scene can be skipped and read again in the diary.
• 15 optional special events on the circuits driven in reverse: extra races and time trials against the clock, to earn more and sharpen your driving.

31 ORIGINAL RACE TRACKS
• Farmland, harbours, salt flats, pine forests, mountain passes, deserts, cities and night races.
• Every circuit has its own shape, rhythm and widths, and the venues grow busier with every series: grandstands, pits, marshals, floodlights.
• Weather that changes the driving: rain, snow, ice, desert sand, dusk and night cut grip, braking and visibility.
• Hazards arrive one at a time: hay bales, oil slicks, puddles, black ice, sand drifts and gravel traps, always signposted and always avoidable.
• Optional qualifying: one timed lap sets the grid.
• 3 to 11 rivals who brake, choose their lines and try to pass you, under the same physics as your car.

GARAGE AND UPGRADES
• Six components: engine, transmission, tyres, brakes, suspension and aerodynamics.
• Four levels per component, unlocked as you move up the categories.
• Every purchase has a real, measurable effect: top speed, 0–100 km/h, braking distance, grip and stability.
• Each promotion gives you the new category’s chassis for free, and you keep your upgrades.
• A small-team economy: every race costs an entry fee plus the fuel you choose to load, and prizes are tight.
• Fuel is managed in the race: more fuel means a heavier car; run dry and you can refuel in the pits, for a fee.
• Rivals get faster race after race
• One free practice race per chapter, always repeatable, for when you are broke.
• Currency is earned by racing only: no in-app purchases, no energy.

TOUCH CONTROLS
• Button steering and a brake that is always within reach.
• Auto-accelerate or manual throttle.
• Left-handed layout, adjustable steering sensitivity and switchable vibration.

LOCAL RECORDS
• Best lap and best race time for every circuit, kept separate per chassis and assists.
• Optional world leaderboards via Google Play Games; signing in is never required.

OFFLINE GAME AND ADS
• The whole game, career included, plays offline.
• It is free and contains ads: a banner in the menus and, sometimes, a full-screen ad after you tap “Continue” at the end of a race.
• Optional reward videos: instead of the practice race you can watch a short video to get credits (up to 5 a day).
• No ads while driving or paused, and you never need to watch an ad to progress.
