Group Contact Lite

★★★★★ Great app, can’t wait for the full version. Great app, fast, intuitive, flexible, syncs well with google, can’t wait for the full version. An improvement would be to display longer contact names.

★★☆☆☆ Not that impressed, thanks. I'm sure that the app is an excellent contact manager and group manager...the interface, however, is a classic example of What Not To Do: 1) NO configurability in view (other than sorting); it's Tiled Mode or ... Tiled Mode! (Choices! YAY!) A list view might be nice. 2) If you're going to force all users into Tiled Mode, then at least make the tiles something smaller than OMG Take Over Your SCREEN size, pls. Some of us have more than 12 contacts. 3) And while you're redesigning the Tiles Of Doom, can the Tile Labels possibly be designed so that more than the first 8 characters of the contact/group's name are actually visible, pls? (I realize that MBCS shove the entire idea into 2 pretty pictures...but in English, words (like "System Group: $foo" and "System Group: $baz") actually share the same first 8 characters sometimes.) 4) Let's hear it for selection menus! On the screen! ALL THE TIME! (Not so great, actually.) Is there actually a reason to keep the selection menus on the screen constantly? Especially "Sort By" (with it's myriad choices) and the bottom row? My 'droid has a Menu Key. I actually DO use it. Sorry; I'm sure it's great...but not for my tastes. Uninstalled.
