By Caitty, from Google Play“AI group chats. They talk to you and each other. Every reply is a voice note.”
Description by Caitty Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Open Groupy and you are already in two groups. At Central Perk, Chandler has a joke and Monica has a plan. At Hogwarts, Hermione has done the reading and Draco disagrees on principle. You type one line and several of them answer, argue and tease, each in their own voice.
Every message arrives as a voice note with the text underneath. Tap play to hear each character in their own voice.
EIGHTEEN GROUPS TO WALK INTO
• Central Perk Friends — six friends, one orange sofa, and a chat where no secret survives the afternoon.
• Hogwarts After Hours — homework, hidden corridors and four students deciding which rule to break first.
• The Fellowship — one impossible road, four very different guides, and no agreement about the next shortcut.
• Andersen's Storybook — a mermaid, an ice queen, a tiny traveller and a young swan compare impossible journeys.
• Grimm's Forest — four fairy-tale survivors trade warnings, bargains and very specific woodland advice.
• One Thousand and One Nights — Scheherazade has one more story, Sinbad says it happened to him, and Aladdin has a shortcut.
• Journey West Crew — a monk, a monkey, a pig and a river demon, 108,000 miles from home and sick of each other.
• Olympus HQ — divine family drama, mortal gossip, and at least one thunderbolt threat per day.
• Asgard After Hours — Odin is cryptic, Thor is loud, Loki did it, and Freya is done with all of them.
• Great Minds — Einstein, Tesla, da Vinci and Curie, arguing like it is a group project.
• The Founders — Washington wants this meeting to end. Hamilton has sent nine more messages.
• The Symposium — ask a simple question, receive four incompatible answers and one more question.
• Apartment 4B — four flatmates, one bathroom, a chore rota nobody has ever obeyed.
• The Break Room — the unofficial work chat where the real meeting happens.
• 3AM Group Chat — old friends, bad sleep schedules, and conversations that only happen after midnight.
• Dungeon Party — a paladin, a rogue, a wizard and a bard plan a heist. It will not survive contact.
• The Coven — immortals with house rules and eight hundred years of unresolved issues.
• Starship Corvus — deep space, thin margins, and a crew that argues its way out of everything.
SEVENTY-FOUR CHARACTERS, SEVENTY-FOUR VOICES
Every member has their own personality, their own way of typing, and their own speaking voice. They remember what was said in the group. They react to each other, not just to you.
BUILD YOUR OWN GROUP
• Name it, describe it, and pick two to six members — from the cast, or people you invent.
• Create a character with a name and a photo, or leave both blank and let the AI write their personality to fit the group.
• Choose their voice: a standard voice you can audition first, or search a library of thousands for something more specific.
• Drop a starship pilot into the philosophers' symposium. Nothing stops you.
MADE TO FEEL LIKE A REAL GROUP
• @mention anyone and they answer first — useful when the loud ones keep taking the turn.
• Invite someone new and the group notices: a join notice lands in the chat and the newcomer introduces themselves.
• Set a chat wallpaper per group.
• Tap any avatar to read that character's profile, hear a sample of their voice, and open their portrait full-screen.
• Twelve languages, and the voices follow the one you pick.
YOURS ALONE
No account. No login. Your name, your photo, your Stars and every conversation stay on your device, and Delete Account erases all of it.
Central Perk Friends and Hogwarts After Hours are free from the first launch. More groups unlock with Stars, which you also earn from a daily check-in.
Groupy is entertainment. Every character is generated by an AI language model — including the historical and mythological ones, which are dramatisations and not the real person. Nothing a character says is fact-checked or is advice of any kind.
