Open Source GV Locations adds the convenience and flexibility of location awareness to Google Voice, letting you manage which numbers your incoming call is routed to based on your real-time physical location.
While by itself, Google Voice defaults an incoming call to ring all numbers that have been connected with it, the addition of GV Locations ensures that only numbers you’ve associated with your present location ring for incoming calls. Solves outgoing caller ID landline issue w/GV!! Perfect free solution to display your GV Caller ID # using your home phone. I live in an area known for poor cell phone coverage with all carriers. Recently ported cell # to GV. Only issue w/GV is dialing from home # cannot display GVwithout app like this (free) or VOIP system like OPI100 ($50+/-). As I already have a "free" (cable bundle) landline, this is a great solution to have my GV# displayed on receivers phone when I "dial out" using my landline. Works as. promised!

Outstanding Concept! But doesn't work.... I love this concept. If it worked, it would be an incredible feature, especially now that my Google Voice is integrated with cell service. But unfortunately, it just cannot seem to find my location. It clearly sees I am in that radius of my defined location when I check my locations and try to fix it. But still--stuck on "Elsewhere." Will not change. Bummer.

Great idea but I'm not handing over my keys I love this idea and would give it 5 stars if it worked and would buy a version to remove ads in order to support it. But instead of using token based authentication, it requires me to hand over my Google name and password. I have no idea how that's stored and I don't care. As long as it is in the app it can be lifted and have total access to my Google account and not just Voice.
