For confused people: buses: (15, 18, 21, 22, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 43, 44, 47, 48, 49, 61, 62, 63, 65, 68, 231, 232, 233, 245, 246, 247, 267, 369, 461, 463, 464), trams: (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 17, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27), metros: (50, 51, 52, 53, 54), night busses*: (N81, N82, N83, N84, N85, N86, N87 N88, N89, N91, N93). Other lines not mentioned above are NOT of GVB and you need other tickets for those. *The 1-hour ticket is NOT valid on the night busses.

★★★★★ An M A must-have for tourists in Amsterdam. The transport info and timing are accurate. A nice to have feature is to allow the users to filter the results, so it shows only the trips that are more cost-effective for tourists who bought the travel (regional) tickets, especially when travelling outside the city area.

★★☆☆☆ We had a very poor experience with trams on our visit to Amsterdam, and this app didn't help. Both the app and the displays at the tram stops showed trams that never arrived, like they simply didn't exist. An app that's supposed to show live information has no purpose whatsoever if the information it provides is inaccurate.

★★☆☆☆ I just bought a ticket and the app doesn't detect the payment, so I don't have a ticket.

★★☆☆☆ Don't buy day or multi-day tickets from GVB in Amsterdam if you do not stay close to a bus/tran stop served by this company. Their transportation network seems to be much smaller than its main competing company (Connection). It looks to be better to buy the Amsterdam ticket from Connection. It is more expensive, but there are many more options with them, including buses to/from the airport. In addition, the GVB ticket is not refundable.
