Description

Go is ancient strategy game with simple rules. Hactar go is perfect for learning go, and to study go anywhere you are. A good way to learn go is thru game of capture-go. Hactar can play capture-go with you.

Hactar Lite can play capture-go with you. Hactar Lite also lets you try go at beginner level in a 9x9 board.

It is possible to search games in the device for position or players.

Hactar contains over 410 go problems (tsumego). You can also add your own collections easily, or download additional 400 problem with few clicks.

Hactar offers pro-level AI analysis. It can be used to find better moves or mistakes from any games.

Hactar GO can be used to view and record go games in SGF format. Hactar supports variations and setup stones. Hactar can automatically replay games.

Differences between Hactar Go full version and Hactar Go Lite:
1. The full version has a go opponent for 13x13 and 19x19 boards (subscription in Lite).
2. The full version has internet game search (subscription in Lite).
3. The full version offers more accurate AI analysis. Both versions offer even more accurate AI as subscription.

★★★★★ Epic Love this app. Best learning tool for beginners, and part of my Go app arsenal. Just wish there was a way to save some puzzles to favorite

★★★★★ No complaints Probably worth 2 dollars just for the SGF editor alone. (best SGF ed for mobile I know of) The problems are first-rate, though frustrating sometimes. Capture go is more of a novelty to me, and the playing strength is questionable, good for learning the game, I guess. The "beginner" go 9x9 game is much stronger than I expected. Wish there was a 13x13 or 19 beginner level, but very good anyway.

★★★★★ Seems great but... this seems to be one of the best go app in market in its price range (for full version). I downloaded the lite version only for deciding to buy or not buy the full version. But in this lite version, I can't figure out wht will I get with purchasing the full version. Lite version has nearly enough options for capture-go; but for playing go, the only option is to play on a 9x9 board with beginner level. I should see the whole options before buying (maybe grayed out items, or items with blocked for actions). Yes the app description says something about wht i ll get with full version, but only fact is that I will have only 15 mins to test it, so it's natural to ask to see them in lite version. Thanks.

★★☆☆☆ Difficult to understand. Not beginner-friendly, even in capture go. No help, no explanations, and no undo function. If you make a mistake, the undo procedure listed doesn't work. No information on strategy or how to play capture go. The hint function is useless and always leads to you losing. Only tried capture go, no explanation of strategy or moves, or why certain choices are better. Not helpful at all, not beginner-friendly.
