★★★★★ Great app. I've used it in my class with struggling readers.

★★★★★ Good High Frequency Word practice Again, to make the Hairies jump the gaps and over obstacles you need to tap them again while they're flying. Works seamlessly on my Smart Ultra 6.

★★★★★ I think this app is fantastic. I am using it at school and my little person loves it so much they choose to play it for their reward time, not realising they are learning to spell and type. If I had to pick a downside it would be that there is only one player. When the other children saw it being played, they wanted to join in!

★★☆☆☆ I loved hairy phonics so got this. DISAPPOINTED. The graphics and gameplay are great. But not a good app for spelling. You are told/shown a word, then one second later asked to write it. Thats all the learning you get for each word. My kids got them all correct, but ask them later on and doesnt know them. I expected child to learn each word several different ways, each activity progressively harder until word mastered. Expensive for what you get.

★★☆☆☆ Slightly broken interface I've installed and run through the first task and the keyboard interface is inconsistent. The letter ”t" only works on the left hand edge of the button and this will make it more difficult for words to be spelled correctly. I found it frustrating and I can spell! It would also be easy for a young child to miss a word being spelled incorrectly, leading to the app telling them they got a word wrong when they didn't.
