THE HANGUL TEACHING METHOD

King Sejong designed each consonant as a visual guide to pronunciation. The letter for "g" shows a tongue blocking your throat. The letter for "n" shows a tongue touching the roof of your mouth. The letter for "m" shows a closed mouth. The vowels are built from three symbols: heaven, earth, and man.
