I genuinely like this app. I was part of the many android users forced to find alternative apps (or use Google messages, no, thank you) and after trying 4 different ones, this is absolutely the best one! I like how customizable it is. I like that it still has themes as an option. You can name your group chats and choose which type of emoji style you prefer! Overall, as far as aesthetics go. This is the best option

So far, so good! I used this app many years ago when I first got an Android phone. I only switched because Samsung had their own texting app & I liked it because of the Categories feature. Now that Samsung texting will be gone in July, I've tried multiple texting apps & this is, by far, is THE BEST alternative!! THANK YOU for creating an app with so many features, especially the CATEGORIES which I love ❤️ My only reason for removing a star is - there's no widget. If you add a widget it's 5* app!!

Ive had this app for years, and it has worked to my liking. However, since June 9, 2026, the group chat feature has not allowed for group texts to come through and when you default to another app like Google Messaging, they all appear. So I switched back to Next sms and the group chat messages only appear under some unrecognizable address (and frankly still don't come through unless I default back to Google Messaging)...can this be fixed or is it the end of the line for Hand cent Next sms? Help!

Looking for a Samsung Message replacement-being forced to Google messages will NOT be for me. Next sms is NOT pulling all text convos over and is prompting my #1 MAIN contact conversation to log in to a web page that looks scammy AF. positive reviews do not make sense for this app- it is selecting random contact convos and not allowing viewing on contacts end

Upon transitioning from Samsung Messages to Hand cent Next SMS Messenger, I observed that only four message threads displayed media content. All other message threads failed to render MMS messages. This issue has persisted across three distinct Samsung Galaxy devices on which I have installed the application. While I recall this application being my preferred messaging platform between 2010 and 2014, my recent experience in 2026 has been less favorable.
