Hearth: Home Screen Launcher

Hearth is a fast, customizable home screen launcher built for people who care about what their phone looks like — and who owns their data. A powerful home screen replacement with a traditional grid layout, icon pack compatibility, and zero tracking.

CUSTOMIZABLE HOME SCREEN

Set up your home screen exactly the way you want it. Configurable grid layout with multiple pages, adjustable icon sizes from 50% to 150%, and a dock you can set to anywhere from 3 to 7 slots. Place apps, shortcuts, and widgets anywhere on your grid.

• Configurable grid with multiple home screen pages
• Icon size scaling from 50% to 150%
• Adjustable dock with 3 to 7 slots
• Place and resize widgets freely

ICON PACKS & THEMES

Apply any of the thousands of icon packs available on the Play Store. Choose from five adaptive icon shapes — circle, squircle, rounded square, square, or teardrop — for a uniform, polished look. Reshape legacy icons automatically to match.

• Full icon pack support — compatible with every icon pack
• Five icon shapes to choose from
• Automatic legacy icon reshaping
• Light, dark, system, and dynamic Material You themes
• Ten accent colour presets plus custom hex colours

APP DRAWER & SEARCH

A clean, scrollable app drawer with instant search. Type a few letters to find any app. Alphabetical section headers keep everything organised.

• Instant app search with fuzzy matching
• Alphabetical group headers
• Web search fallback built in

HIDE APPS

Keep your app drawer clean. Hide apps you never use — bloatware, carrier apps, pre-installed clutter — without uninstalling them. Your drawer shows only what you actually want to see.

• Hide any app from the drawer
• Unhide anytime from settings
• No root, no uninstall required

FOLDERS & DRAG AND DROP

Create folders by dragging one icon onto another. Rename them, reorganise freely. Physics-based drag and drop with spring animations and haptic feedback makes rearranging your home screen feel natural and precise.

• Drag to create folders, rename and customise
• Spring-physics drag and drop with haptic feedback
• Live swap preview shows exactly what will move
• Resize widgets by dragging handles

NOTIFICATION BADGES

See unread counts directly on your app icons. Choose between numeric badges or dot indicators. Works across your home screen, dock, and app drawer.

BACKUP & RESTORE

Export your entire setup — layout, settings, folders, dock, icon overrides, hidden apps — as a single portable file. Restore on a new device or after a reset. Your home screen configuration travels with you.

WALLPAPER & APPEARANCE

Integrated wallpaper picker, full dark mode support, and a colour system that lets you match your launcher to your style. Dynamic Material You theming available on Android 12 and above.

PRIVACY FIRST

No ads will ever appear in this app. No tracking SDKs are bundled. No analytics, no crash reporters that phone home, no affiliate links. Your home screen layout never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

• Zero trackers — verify with any privacy audit tool
• Zero ad SDKs — we cannot show you ads
• Zero analytics — we cannot see how you use the app
• Crash reports only with your explicit opt-in

PAY ONCE, YOURS FOREVER

One purchase unlocks everything. No subscription, no tiers, no recurring charges. Every feature, every future update, included. Try the full launcher free, then decide.

We make money when you buy the app. That is our only incentive. We are not an ad company. We are not a data company. We build a launcher.

If this product is ever sold, paid users retain perpetual access to the last pre-acquisition build.

BUILT FROM SCRATCH

Hearth is not a fork. Built from the ground up on modern Kotlin and Jetpack Compose — fast cold start, smooth animations, active development. A small indie team, funded entirely by users, accountable to nobody else.

Recent changes:
What's new in 1.13:

- Hide the app drawer search bar (Settings, App Drawer) so your icons sit flush from the top. Open Settings via the home-screen long-press menu.
- Populate home screen with all apps (Settings, Home Screen) replaces your layout with every app in alphabetical order. Dock and hidden apps are kept.
- Widgets now use their preferred size when added, claiming fewer empty cells.
