Helios: UV Index Widget, Timer

How many minutes can your skin take in the sun right now? Helios is a UV index app with a home screen widget, your burn time for each SPF and a sunscreen reminder. UV index for your city, hour by hour, and a reminder when it is time to reapply.

☀️ UV INDEX NOW AND BY THE HOUR
The current UV index in one big number with its level, from low to extreme. Under it, the forecast for every hour of daylight and the protection window: the hours when the UV is above 3 and your skin needs cover. Today's UV index, the current UV index right now and the day's max UV in one place, with the UV forecast hour by hour. Drag the wheel to any hour, or tap one in the list, to see its UV, temperature, cloud cover and what to wear. A simple UV tracker for your day.

⏳ BURN TIME FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE
Choose your skin type once, from I to VI. Helios shows how long you can stay in the sun before sunburn with no sunscreen, SPF 15, SPF 30 and SPF 50, side by side, at today's UV level. Change the sunscreen and the minutes change. The six skin types run from very fair to dark, and Helios also shows how long your skin takes to burn at noon.

🧴 SUNSCREEN TIMER AND REMINDER
Pick the sunscreen you just put on and start the timer. It counts the time that application protects you and sends a reminder when it runs out. Reapplied? One tap restarts it. Choose SPF 15, 30 or 50 and the SPF timer counts down, with a banner showing the time left.

📱 UV INDEX WIDGET
Two widgets for your home screen: the UV index with its color, or the day's wheel with the protection window. They use the forecast already on your phone, so they work with no connection. Both UV index widgets are free. Helios Pro adds a large widget and four color themes.

📍 ANY CITY
Type a city and Helios shows its UV index, sunrise, sunset, temperature and cloud cover. Home, the beach, the mountains, wherever you are going.

🔔 UV ALERT AND MORNING REPORT
Every morning, at the time you choose, a notification with the day's peak UV and the hours when your skin needs protection. With Helios Pro, a UV alert notifies you as soon as the UV index goes above 3, 6 or 8, as you choose.

🎯 SET UP FOR WHAT MATTERS TO YOU
Tell Helios what you want to look after: avoiding sunburn, protecting your children, outdoor sports or tanning safely.

Each sunscreen timer session records the UV you receive. See today's total and your history by week, month and year.

📊 UV INDEX LEVELS
The UV index rates the strength of the sun's ultraviolet radiation: the higher the number, the sooner your skin burns. UV levels: Low 0-2 · Moderate 3-5 · High 6-7 · Very high 8-10 · Extreme 11+. From 3 upwards, sun protection is recommended: sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, and shade from high levels. Avoid the sun at very high levels and stay out of it at extreme ones.
