I've been using this application for about two years now, and I cannot give higher praise than to Hello Chinese. Whereas most learning courses are still stuck on the old HSK 2.0 standard, Hello Chinese has already gotten a full course with more content than their old course, that is fully compliant with HSK 3.0 Along with that, the curriculum is easy to learn, it helps you teach your stroke order, and the support is absolutely amazing.

Just started but seems really good. Similar to duolingo but it's totally centered on chinese. It's better because it has videos from native speakers and personalized lessons. 9.5/10 for now, but its promising

Pay to streak is not my cup of tea. An amazing app for learning Chinese but u can't keep up ur learning stream because u have to pay $36 per month or they don't let u continue learning, well job developers, there wasn't any worse way to make me regret downloading this app. What a let-down

I like this app in a lot of ways. It doesn't get into nonsense that isn't culturally relevant like some other language apps. The stories section is particularly unique, but I don't like the limitation of only being able to create one profile. This subscription is a lot of money, and I wanted to be able to use this for both of my kids and myself, but, because we cannot create our own separate profiles, the review section is completely useless for my kids who are several lessons behind me.

I had made it all the way up to 5, ordering at a café, then I hit a paywall. It's only free for that amount of time. And then you have no choice, you either pay or you don't get to learn anymore. Wasted a month of my time. It's in the store as free. -Nàxiē kamikaze hěn bù Changsha-

Stopped using duolingo because the AI features became rampant, used hello Chinese in the past, and it was perfectly good but now features distracting AI art that makes it feel like a cheap scammy mobile game. Wish they could go back to the old art. Also wondering if the use of licensed characters in this app is even legal?
