★★★★★ it's a good app but when ever I want to open a site from WhatsApp, or anywhere it won't show if you can give it a browser status that would be nice, if I want to open an amazon web it can open in amazon lite in hermit, with web address you can make the app to choose which app iam going to open, and that would fulfill its main purpose

★★☆☆☆ I see it was changed in the about s section now. The 'built for android 11 was removed. Old: Under what's new: Built for Android 11.... Only works for Android 11 and if you update to 12 this unlocked doesn't work. Edit: I pay for something, and it doesn't work, but you expect me to give it 5 stars? Got a refund. Original: I purchased, and it's installed, but the app doesn't find it. Please advise

★★☆☆☆ I've been using Hermit Premium for a while. Recently it started blocking some saved/previously-working "Lite App" sites, saying "Blocked because of your Settings" [CHANGE]. The Block options which the user can change per the [CHANGE] link, under Hermit's Privacy tab, include "Block Ads & Malware" and "Block Popups" and "Block Third-Party Cookies" (note: can block JavaScript, but that's in the Behavior tab) but none of those apply since access to *entire sites* was blocked, not just risky per-site features disabled. ................ I contacted Chimbote with my Hermit config and a list of some of the blocked sites. Their response was "All of these are categorized as Fake News sites by the Steven Black block lists" (URL provided). ................ I use several other browsers that are able to view these Hermit-blocked sites. Those browsers include integrated features or extensions, configurable by the user, that can block ads, malware, popups, trackers, cookies, etc. All things that Hermit implies that it's able to do, but should do without going too far by blocking entire sites without alerting the user as to the real reason nor allowing the user to disable those blocks. That makes it an unsuitable browser for general browsing; maybe they should market it as a "kids' browser." If their idea is "you need allow Ads & Malware/Popups/3rd-party-cookies etc. to view 'fake news' sites," that isn't acceptable since it creates needless risk when browsing. ................ I've given the program 1-star because it's not a browser's job to block sites based on *its* criteria, nor by blindly using & blaming somebody else's list. If Chimbote & Hermit would like to allow *user options* that can be turned on & off (e.g. using the Steven Black lists, block/enable sites per selectable "fake news" or "gambling" or "porn" or "social" selectors) that would be fine. But it has no business blocking entire sites without recourse, regardless of the *opinion* the authors or others have of those sites.
