Fun game. You don't need to spend money unless you want to turbocharge your progress. There is a frequent pop-up sale item that is annoying, but it's not game breaking. I recommend checking it out for a week or two. Before coming to any conclusions.

Great game (400+ hours played). I play (almost) for free - I choose to spend £10 / month on gems to support Devs. I've currently reached 8-6 on Nightmare, so you can progress a long way without going the pay to win route. I'm enjoying it so much, I'm going to start again when I finish!! :-) People complain about the lack of play due to slow energy recovery, but you also get 8/10 tickets each day to play each of: Mystery Island (lots of good rewards); and Arena. Plus many energy rewards.

I beat this game in about a week, im now almost done with nightmare campaign, and I was playing to get paid from another app, but the "progress" missions became insane, I've had to GRIND like literally all day and night 24/7 spent over $100+ on small and large stuf and cannot progress, the arena is impossible to complete anything on, gold tier is maxed out players that obviously spent a fortune to be where their at because I spent alot and got hardly anything.not fun anymore, (cause of the arena)

Probably the worst update ever as you progress, you get more heroes and the heroes around the town walking ever making the phone laggy asf, even the manually ranking up heroes takes time cuz it lags so bad

Fun game, heavily unbalanced. Arena is very unfair and definitely a pay to play game. Ridiculously expensive to be fully enjoyable

Starting playing this App through Tap joy. Started fulfilling requirements and now despite liking the game cannot get my rewards. Tap joy undermined a paying customer. Seeing as how tap joy has terrible customer service... It rolls downhill. This comment will stand until Tap joy pays up.
