FIVE WAYS TO LOOK

Camera lens finder
Dim the room and sweep slowly. Sweep pulses your flashlight and compares camera frames to highlight persistent lens-like reflections. Motion and bright-room checks help reject unsuitable readings. Glass, screws and glossy surfaces can reflect light too.

Infrared camera detector
Start with a remote-control self-test to check whether your phone camera can see infrared. Then look for possible night-vision lights in a dark room. Phone hardware matters, and cameras without active infrared lighting may be missed.

Wi-Fi device scanner
Review devices visible on the Wi-Fi network you have joined. Sweep checks for camera-related responses and explains why a device was flagged. Open device details to see the evidence. Separate networks, guest-network restrictions and cameras recording offline can limit this check.

Bluetooth scanner
See nearby devices that are broadcasting, with proximity bands and available manufacturer information. Camera-like names and supported tracker signals help you choose what to inspect. An unfamiliar device is not proof of a camera.

Magnetic field check
Measure a baseline for the room, then look for changes near fixtures and objects. Optional sound and vibration help you follow readings. Wiring, metal and speakers can also cause spikes, so this check can suggest a closer look but cannot confirm a hidden camera.

CHECK DEVICES SEEN ALONG YOUR WALK

The Bluetooth tracker check compares devices heard across several stops. Move between stops to see which devices remain nearby. Your paired devices appear separately. Sweep cannot verify that you moved, and changing Bluetooth addresses can prevent matching.

Review findings and the evidence behind them in a room record. Attach your own photos and notes, then create a PDF room report to share when you choose. Photos you attach are not analysed by Sweep. PDF export is available with Sweep Pro or a rewarded-ad unlock.

ON YOUR PHONE, WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT

Checks run on your phone. Scan readings are not uploaded, and no account is required. Inspection tools and guides work without internet; the Wi-Fi check still needs a local Wi-Fi connection. Advertising and Google Play services may use internet and process data as explained in the privacy policy.

KNOW THE LIMITS

Sweep is an inspection aid. No hidden camera detector can guarantee that every camera will be found. A flag needs manual inspection, and Nothing found does not prove a room is camera-free. Use Sweep only where you are entitled to inspect.
