Hidden Gallery - Photo Vault

🔐 Hidden Gallery — a private photo vault hidden inside a working calculator

Worried about who picks up your phone? Hidden Gallery is a photo vault nobody goes looking for. On your home screen it can look and behave like an ordinary calculator. Type your PIN into the calculator, press =, and your private gallery opens. Everyone else just gets a calculator that does math.

🎭 How the calculator vault works

🔢 Calculator → 🔑 Your PIN + = → 🖼️ Your private gallery

• The launcher icon and app name can be swapped for a calculator
• The calculator is real and fully working, so nothing looks staged
• Nothing on the home screen or in your gallery hints that a vault is there
• Lock it again with one tap, or let it lock itself when you leave

🔓 Unlocking, your way

• 4–6 digit PIN
• Fingerprint or face unlock, if your phone supports it
• The calculator trick: type your PIN, press =
• Auto-lock when the app goes to the background, after a delay you choose
• Forgot your PIN? Reset it with your security question, or email us for a one-time code tied to your device

🖼️ Hide photos and videos

Hide photos and videos in a few taps. It is a photo locker and a private gallery in one, and getting them back out is just as quick.

• Import photos and videos into the vault, hundreds at a time
• Delete the originals afterwards, so no copy is left in your gallery
• Albums to keep your private pictures and secret albums in order
• Favorites, sort orders and bulk select
• Full-screen viewer, built-in video player and slideshow
• Take a photo with the camera straight into the vault
• Share, or save anything back to your gallery, whenever you want

🗑️ Recycle bin

• Deleted items wait in the recycle bin instead of vanishing
• Restore in one tap
• Set how long the bin keeps them before it clears itself

📁 File & notes locker

• Keep documents in the same private vault as your photos
• Write private notes that save as you type
• Rename, share or delete documents, and search both lists

🛡️ Built to stay quiet

• Screenshot and screen-recording blocking while the vault is open, on by default
• A blur curtain hides the app in the recent apps switcher
• A break-in log records failed unlock attempts, so you know if someone tried
• It works like an app lock for your private gallery: leave the app, it locks

🎨 Yours to look at

• Accent colors, light and dark, AMOLED black and Material You
• Clean, modern design that stays out of the way
• Made for phones and tablets

👥 Who it is for

• Anyone who hands their phone around and would rather not hand over their photos
• Family pictures, ID scans, work documents, screenshots you would rather not scroll past
• A tidier camera roll: move the private things out, leave the gallery for everything else

🔒 Privacy, plainly

✅ No account needed — nothing to sign up for
✅ No cloud storage — your photos stay on your device
✅ Files live in the app's own private folder, so your gallery does not list them
✅ Said plainly: they are hidden files, not encrypted ones — encryption is what we are working on next
✅ The app shows ads and uses Firebase for analytics and crash reports; analytics can be switched off in Settings

Hidden Gallery is the private photo vault we wanted ourselves: hide photos, hide videos, lock the gallery, and keep it all behind a calculator nobody looks at twice.

Recent changes:
• “Clean unused thumbnails” now shows that it is working, and leaving before it finishes no longer closes the app
• Fixed rare crashes when leaving a screen while it was still saving
• A developer code is no longer wasted if you switch tabs while it is being checked
