Description
Tired of ongoing notifications you can't swipe away? Hide Persistent Notifications clears the clutter. Pick the persistent notifications you don't want to see, and the app keeps them hidden from your notification shade for as long as it's installed.
No account. No sign-in. It just works.
✨✨ New ✨✨ • Hiding history — see exactly what was hidden, and when • A completely new, modern design • Light, dark, and system themes • Now available in English, German, Arabic, Spanish, and Russian • Optimized layout for tablets and large screens
WHAT IT DOES • Hide any persistent (ongoing) notification that clutters your shade • Choose exactly which notifications to hide — the rest stay untouched • A background service automatically re-hides them whenever they come back • Review your hiding history with timestamps • Subtle haptic feedback throughout (turn it off anytime)
HOW IT WORKS 1. Grant the app notification access (one permission — no account needed) 2. Tap + to see your current persistent notifications 3. Select the ones you want gone 4. They stay hidden automatically — that's it
GOOD TO KNOW • Media playback notifications are skipped automatically — they re-post on every track or playback change, so they can't be hidden reliably • For the most reliable hiding, exclude the app from battery optimization (there's an in-app shortcut to the right screen)
PRIVACY FIRST • No sign-in or account required to hide notifications • The content of your notifications is never collected • Anonymous usage analytics can be turned off in Settings
Requires Android 8.0 or higher and notification access permission.
Recent changes: Version 2.1.2: ➕ Now available in German, Arabic, Spanish & Russian — pick your language in Settings (Android 13+) ➕ Theme option: light, dark, or follow system, plus subtle haptics on taps and toggles ➕ Tablet & foldable support: side-by-side panes on large screens 🛠️ Faster startup and smoother scrolling 🛠️ "Other apps" list auto-updates, works offline, with Install/Open/Website buttons 🛠️ Media notifications no longer appear in the selection list, since they can't be reliably hidden

I wanted to get rid of the super-annoying software update notification on my Samsung S10, and now it's gone! Excellent! FWIW this notification icon was on the *left* side of the top area, not the right side.

Does exactly what is described. Has removed every annoying persistent notification I want to get rid of. Definitely recommended.

This is such a great app. I have an S23 Ultra running Android 14. My phone doesn't have a setting allowing me to hide those pesky, persistent Accessibility notifications. This app hides those, and I am so thankful.

I have a repeated notification, no sim card, this app couldn't recognize it. No help from the developer and play store would not refund money. Samsung S21 ultra

Absolutely useless. When I open the app and tap on the + button to hide the software update notification it says I don't have any notifications. Great! So now I'm stuck with this annoying notification that won't go away. Galaxy S10 user.
