Trash company. I've had them since 2019. Filed 1 claim when a neighbors' tree fell on my privacy fence and on my house. Over $8000 worth of damage. They processed the claim and said it was due to wind and hail which allowed them to only give me a $900 check because my deductible for wind and hail was $6500. There was no wind or hail. No storms at all. The tree was dying. Now I come home today to find in the mail a policy cancelation letter. Shame on hippo.

App works great. Insurance is not. Like others, I bought it for a house I was moving into. Exterior looked a little worn and roof had a small leak, but interior had been renovated and negotiated repairs with seller. Paid in advance for a year. Inspector came out before I even moved in and cancelled policy. Received no notice until just 29 days prior to cancellation day. Reasons stated for cancellation included leaky roof (being repaired already), cracked driveway, and uncut grass!

This year, after a required video inspection for contract renewal, a Hippo representative informed me that my contract was already approved, making the inspection unnecessary. However, in October, I received a letter from Hippo stating my policy wouldn't be renewed due to not completing the inspection. They advised contacting the manager. When I called, the manager only tried to sell me a different policy from other companies. I couldn't believe it that they treated me this way.

The app is not accepting the verification code they sent to my email address. I resent the code twice, trying 3 different codes. It never worked. I'm too busy for this. Uninstalling.
